Sportspage Bar & Grille was established in 2003 at 14245 Midlothian Turnpike. We are a locally owned and operated establishment and pride ourselves on treating all our customers like family. We are very family friendly and consider ourselves a "cheers" type restaurant we want our customers to feel like they are a part of our restaurant and can ask our staff for any special item and we will do our best to accommodate them.
It is because of our loyal customers that we were able to open our second locations in 2006 in Hanover at 8319 Bell Creek Road. Our award-winning chicken wings and burgers combined with our customer service has allowed us to expand into Ashland, a couple of blocks from Randolph-Macon college. We partnered up with our good friend Duane Carter (aka Squirrel) who found the location. Squirrel was born and raised in Hanover County so he knows the area well and was very high on this location. Squirrel will be the managing partner at the Ashland location, make sure you say "hi" to him when you visit (so in Squirrel we trust).
Sportspage is well known for its quality of food and service we believe great food at a good price combined with great service you will come back and patronize us again.
We truly are a mom and pop restaurant.

Rob Jones' life has always been hockey...20 years of professional hockey started in Binghamton, New York. He went from a stick boy to an athletic trainer/equipment manager. He came to Richmond in 1992 and worked for the ECHL Richmond Renegades for 10 years. So when they folded in 2002, Karee, a native of Richmond thought they should stay in town so Rob had to find a new profession.
Karee and her family had always worked in the restaurant business, serving, bartending or managing. Rob thought we should bring our worlds together and open a sports bar. Family has always been important so we asked Karee's dad to join us. Ron Newcome had opened another restaurant in the area. Everyone loves Ron, better known as Uncle Ronnie to our regulars.
So in 2003 with a lot of hard work, we opened the first Sportspage Bar and Grille in Midlothian and our second in Hanover in 2006. Our main goal was to provide great food at a good price and combined that with great service. If you haven't tried the chicken wings or burgers, you are missing out on the BEST in town.
We believe our success is due in large part to our great staff, which includes many family members and staff who we consider family, that keep things running when we are not around. Because of our great staff and family members taking care of our customers so well we were able to open another Sportspage in the West End on John Rolfe Parkway right next to Tuckahoe Little League.
When not at work Ron loves to watch NASCAR and some Tennessee football. You can also find him on the golf course with his good buddy RC hitting the white ball around. When the weather is just right he enjoys a ride on his Harley.
Rob and Karee have 3 children who keep them busy with their sports. Zachary plays AAA travel hockey and travel lacrosse, Kindred is a level 9 gymnast, and Joshua is busy with baseball and ice hockey. We take pride in being a true mom & pop restaurant and love knowing the many regular's names and faces.
Our partner in Ashland is our good friend Duane Carter (aka Squirrel). Our boys played lacrosse together for five years and he was a manager at our Mechanicsville location for over two years. Squirrel was born and raised in Hanover and still lives in the area. Squirrel approached us about the location in Ashland and thought it fit in great with our family-friendly theme. Squirrel has put in a lot of hard work and time making the location what it is today.
