Rob Jones' life has always been hockey...20 years of professional hockey started in Binghamton, New York. He went from a stick boy to athletic trainer/equipment manager. He came to Richmond in 1992 and worked with ECHL's Richmond Renegades. So when they folded in 2002, Karee, a native of Richmond thought they should stay in town. Rob had to find a new profession.
Karee and her family had always worked in the restaurant business, serving or managing. Rob thought we should bring our worlds together and open a sports bar. Family has always been important so we asked Karee's dad to join us. Ron Newcome had opened and run another restaurant in the area. Everyone loves Ron, better known as Uncle Ronnie to our regulars.
So with a lot of hard work, they opened their first Sportspage Bar and Grille in Midlothian in 2003 and their second in Hanover in 2006. Their main goal was great food and great service. If you haven't tried our chicken wings or hamburgers, you are missing out on the BEST in town. They believe their success is due to our great staff which includes many family members, who keep things running when they are not around. When not at work Ron loves to watch NASCAR, watch some Tennessee football, and ride his Harley.
Rob and Karee have 3 children, who keep them busy with their sports. Zachary plays travel hockey, Kindred does gymnastics, and Joshua is learning to ice skate. They are a true "mom and pop" restaurant and love knowing many names and faces of their customers.
